An interesting fact about the Fantail is that they use their tail to fly in different directions.  Did you know that the Fantail likes eating insects and bugs, and they go upside down to eat bugs occasionally.

Did you know that Fantails are a small bird with a tail that spreads out into a fan, it even has a loud chirp. A Fantail's habitat is anywhere with native trees. The Maori name for Fantail is Piwakawaka.

Mana Performance

Kia ora

Today we went to see a performance called Mana. We were learning some cultural things from different polynesian nations. We were also learning about some different languages and dances from some American Indian tribes. The name of the guy who was doing these things is Bernard Mangakahia and he was very entertaining. He also performed to us the hoop dance which was performed by American Indians. During the dance he was spinning around and creating different types of animals including a flower just by using seven hoops, the animals he created with the hoops were horse,snake,eagle,butterfly and a flower. Afterwards he asked for a volunteer to do the dance that he just did and the volunteer was a senior girl called Grace.

The Pacific Ring of Fire

This term my class and I have been learning about famous volcanoes and the Pacific Ring of Fire. We used My Maps to find the volcanoes and using the line tool to connect them together and create the Pacific Ring of Fire. After we connected the famous volcanoes together and made the Pacific Ring of Fire we wrote a description about the famous volcanoes. Also I learnt a myth that some people believe that in Mount Kilauea there is a goddess that is called Pele and she is the goddess of fire. 

I found this task interesting and fun to do and what I found challenging was finding the famous volcanoes also I would love to create a new map on My Maps again.

Today I've been doing a comic strip  about a story called In one hundreds years time.Also did you that I am a student in Setoga class at Hay park school.Also what is a comic strip?Well a comic strip is type document that can tell people when the story is about to end.Also a comic strip has boxes that tell if your reading in the middle,beginning or end,even you can put your own story's into a comic strip.What I found challenging is trying to take a snapshot the pages of the story ,even what I found challenging is trying to write some made up words in the story 

Cybersmart game

Did you know that last week I have learnt a new game and its called the Cyber smart game.The person who made this game is our Cybersmart teacher. How to play it is that you need a device but it has to be a type of Chromebook or laptop also  when you are playing the Cybersmart game make sure that you tell the because if you don't tell the truth that what you call cheating.To play the Cybersmart game you must have a buddy to play the game also here is a link to the Cybersmart game if you want to play it.

My Trip to the Zoo

This Monday at the zoo I saw a Baboon,cheetah,Lion,Tiger and all other animals at the zoo.My high light  at the zoo was seeing a cheetah.Did you know that cheetahs use their tales to balance and cheetahs use their claws to catch their prey did you know.Did you know that cheetahs can run a short distance but can run really really fast.

Cross Country

Today in cross country I have run two labs.It was really hard because people where getting really really tired also some people were walking when there not so post to.And the nuder thing that was hard was trying to do more labs in teen minutes.It was also hard because if you come after teen minutes you well stay in at lunch time.
